RGB is a proud member of the U.S. Green Building Council, as well as an active member and Founding Sponsor the U.S. Green Building Council Rhode Island Chapter. We have a strong portfolio of projects that have successfully incorporated sustainable design and energy efficiency measures into their construction, including the state’s first LEED Certified new construction and residence hall facility at RI College. Having RI’s first LEED accredited design professional on staff, RGB has a strong background and philosophy relative to sustainable design practices. The entire project team is very familiar in the areas of sustainable design and energy efficient design, life cycle costing analysis and indoor air quality and building commissioning standards.
RGB is a leader in environmentally responsible and forward thinking designs as well as historic preservation. We have integrated the practice of sustainable design into our everyday practice. To exemplify its commitment, RGB is in the process of renovating the office to the LEED Commercial Interiors Silver standard. RGB has installed water-conserving fixtures in our main bathrooms and currently recycles all paper waste.
RGB has 9 employees who are LEED Accredited Professionals, 2 LEED certified projects in MA and RI, and 2 LEED registered projects in RI pending certification. Besides LEED, other rating systems applied to RGB’s green building projects are CHPS, Energy Star, and Advanced Buildings.
With an in-house team of over 25 architectural, engineering, interior design, technical, and administrative staff our success continues through new and repeat client commissions. At RGB we value our client relationships and are proud of the fact that, currently, two out of every three projects are commissioned by repeat clients. This testifies to the satisfaction of our clients and in our ability to deliver projects on-schedule and on-budget.
