Mission: The word “Green” means many things to many people. At National Building Products, “Green” has a significant purpose, and that is to promote a real and meaningful environmental impact on the way we run our business and promote our products to our customers.
National Building Products is the largest independent building materials supplier in the New England region, with everything in building materials plus in-house design and engineering services. National has eight lumberyards and stores, truss and wall panel manufacturing facilities, custom millwork shop, and nine Kitchen Views showrooms all strategically located to serve New England and beyond. National mainly serves builders & contractors, but also caters to homeowners and remodelers.
National is a Certified Green Dealer who implements many green methods in its daily operations. Wood scrap from the truss and panel plants is chipped and recycled to wood pellet companies. In our New Hampshire location, scrap is burned for heat. Millwork PVC board cut-offs are picked up regularly by a recycling company in Connecticut. These combined efforts reduce operating expenses and avoid impacting a landfill. Our office functions also have been converted to paperless wherever possible.
National Building Products is proud to have been involved in a number of LEED Certified projects in Massachusetts and RI recently and project to be working on more soon.
• Designers and supplier of the Green-certified Kitchen and bathrooms at the Platinum Certified Glazer Home in Needham, MA through our Kitchen Views division.
• Main supplier of the framing and finish products for the Gold-certified Hageman Home on Narragansett Bay.
• Supplied the lumber, siding and trim for the Wildlife Center in Wellfleet, MA, which is a Platinum certified building.
• Supplied lumber, siding and trim for the Lexington Commons project in Lexington, MA
• Supplied custom FSC certified doors for the job at Spencer-Stuart office building in Stamford, CT.
There is also a new LEED Platinum multi-family home soon to be built in Providence, RI through the Stand Corporation of Warwick, RI that will be supplied through National Building Products.
